Cynthia Ferguson, is a middle aged runaway and a special education teacher in the Hawaii Department of Education. She falls in love with the island of Maui. And, finds romance with unusual men along the way to her new life as single.

In Time Out is a coming of middle age story for educators, summer book clubs, island travelers, and free-spirited women looking for fun and a fresh start.
